A forward-thinking secondary school in Hounslow is recruiting a Science Technician to support its busy and well-equipped Science department from September.

This Science Technician position is based in a diverse and inclusive secondary school in Hounslow, where practical science plays a key role in student engagement and achievement. The successful Science Technician will support the delivery of engaging experiments and ensure the smooth running of laboratory sessions across all science disciplines.

Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory equipment and materials for practical lessons
Assist teaching staff during experiments and demonstrations
Maintain laboratory safety standards and risk assessments
Monitor, store, and order scientific resources and chemicals
Ensure classrooms and laboratories are fully prepared for daily use



Requirements

Experience working in a laboratory or school science environment desirable
Strong understanding of health and safety practices
Good organisational and communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
